Through its Jeans for a Cause program, Bank Mutual employees will wear jeans to work on Friday, June 10 in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Eastern Wisconsin (RMHC) and then continue the support by collecting pop tabs throughout the month of June.

Ronald McDonald House Charities keep families close while children are receiving medical treatment at local hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee has been a “home away from home” for more than 36,000 families since it opened its doors in 1984. RMHC relies on the generosity of donors, dedicated volunteers and staff to keep their doors open for families 365 days a year.

Specifically, donations to help made to RMHC help:

  • Give a child, tired from medical procedures, a wonderful place to play after a long day at the hospital.

  • Give parents, frightened and stressed out by their baby’s illness, a warm meal and a good night’s sleep to help them get through another tough day.

  • Give a family, already stretched to the limit financially and emotionally, relief from the worry of paying for meals or a hotel room they can’t afford during their child’s hospitalization.

Bank Mutual launched its Jeans for a Cause program in effort to spread awareness and support local, regional, and national non-profit organizations. The program gives employees the opportunity to wear jeans to work in exchange for a minimum $5 donation to a selected non-profit organization. Various non-profit organizations are featured throughout the year and Bank Mutual encourages employees to get involved by recommending events, charities, or causes they believe the collected proceeds should benefit.
