In support of World Health Day, and as part of Bank Mutual’s Jeans for a Cause program, employees wore jeans to work on Thursday, April 7 to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. World Health Day, which is hosted annually by the World Health Organization, chose to focus its 2016 campaign efforts on diabetes in effort to increase awareness and provide effective and affordable actions to tackle diabetes.

Bank Mutual launched its Jeans for a Cause program in effort to spread awareness and support local, regional, and national non-profit organizations. The program gives employees the opportunity to wear jeans to work in exchange for a minimum $5 donation to a selected non-profit organization. Various non-profit organizations are featured throughout the year and Bank Mutual encourages employees to get involved by recommending events, charities, or causes they believe the collected proceeds should benefit.
