Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for Online Banking
It's
a safer and more secure online banking experience!
Bank Mutual takes your security very seriously and has an advanced layer of online protection called
Multi Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA is designed to
provide additional protection from fraud and identity theft by
confirming multiple components of your identity and workstation.
This dynamic feature protects you each time you log in to Online
Banking and also verifies that you are on the Bank Mutual online
banking site.
If
you are enrolling in online banking for the first time, here's what you'll
need to do:
1.
Provide an e-mail address
2. Enter a pass phrase for a selected authentication image
3. Select and answer three security questions (such as
"What is your favorite book? What was the name of your
first pet?" etc.)
4. Select "personal" or "public" computer to
let the system know you are either at your own computer or, for
example, at a computer in an internet cafe
That's
it! The next time you log on, the system will recognize you and
display your private image and pass phrase.
When
you log in at a different computer that is not registered, the system will
prompt you to respond to one of your
pre-selected security questions. Enter the proper response and type your account password to access your
accounts. Your log-in process will display your
authentication image and phrase. If these don't match, please contact Bank
Mutual's Customer Service/Online Banking Support at 1-800-261-6888
for assistance.
If
you have any questions, please call 1-800-261-6888 or
e-mail webmaster@bankmutual.com.
