We are proud to announce that Bank Mutual and Chippewa Valley Council Boy Scouts of America will be working together to sponsor the 2013 Chippewa Valley Air Show. The event will take place on September 7th and 8th at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport located at 3800 Starr Avenue in Eau Claire, Wis. Tickets are $20 in advance; $30 at the gate for persons age 13 and over; children 12 and under are free.
A variety of performances are scheduled for the 2013 show. The Blue Angels—the U.S. Navy’s famous flight demonstration squadron—will return. The Blue Angels, formed in 1946, have flown more than 10 different aircraft in the team’s 65-year history. The 2013 season celebrates 100 years of Marine aviation. The show will also include performances from the Black Daggers jump team; Michael Wiskus Airshows; Acemaker (T33); and Matt Younkin—2012 winner of the Bill Barber Award for Showmanship by World Airshow News; plus numerous other performers.
The Boy Scouts of America have brought the Air Show to Chippewa Valley in both 2008 and 2010. Bank Mutual is pleased to join them this year as the Kids’ Ticket Sponsor. Kids’ Tickets will be sold at Bank Mutual offices across Northwest Wisconsin and in the Madison-area. To purchase Kids’ Tickets, simply visit bankmutual.com/locations to find one of those 23 conveniently-located offices.
“As one of the largest banks based in Wisconsin, we are excited to support an event that brings individuals, families, and professionals from across the State together,” says David A. Baumgarten, President of Bank Mutual. “Since we conduct our business through local decision-making, we understand the importance of community partnerships and are pleased to join the Boy Scouts of America in this effort.”
Hundreds of Scouts participate in setting up, operating, and securing this show. A camporee gives Scouts the opportunity to stay on the grounds and interact with the performers and pilots. It also offers tremendous leadership training opportunities.
Matt Hill, Scout Executive of Chippewa Valley Council was just as enthused about the commitment. “Boy Scouts of America is proud to partner with Bank Mutual in bringing the 2013 Chippewa Valley Air Show to Wisconsin. We sincerely appreciate Bank Mutual and their commitment to the local youth. As the Kids’ Ticket Sponsor, they are guaranteeing that more kids get to experience such a great event.”
